I think someone had mentioned Farenheit 451 on the old boards, I'm sure there would be a lot of things to discuss with a novel like that... just an idea!

yeah I started a thread about that on the old boards, it's a really good book I wouldn't mind doing it again.
I think we should make a choice kinda like the bell jar where there's going to be a lot to analyse, like with that there were all these different metaphors and social issues and contextual stuff to look at.

those sound fine. as long as vanity fair isn't like the movie with reese witherspoon. it was an annoying movie. hopefully the movie just didn't do the book justice.

I've never read the book but that's how I felt when I saw the movie, like it was a really bad adaptation.

Rotating is a great idea! Whew, Shirley was kind of exhausting to read, but I liked the story. Havent read vanity fair or seen the movie so I´m not biased. We could do a poll.
