I was watching "The Reigning Lorelai" and I noticed that the actress who plays Lorelai "Trix" Gilmore also plays the role of Richard's cousin Marilyn so it's like she shows up at her own funeral ;D

Hehe, yeh that always bugs me! And Hanna, i noticed that too - that "Joe from the Deerhill Lodge!" was also a waiter who served Sookie and Jackson on their first date - but somehow Sookie didnt know him that time, hehe! It must really be a trend that actors are brought in to do a small role, and either they like the material or the creators like them so much that they bring them back.
Here's a random question.... why did Jim Dunning who used - key word being USED - to run the AutoBody shop in season one suddenly get mentioned in season 3 as someone who was coming to do Lorelei's plumbing or something?! She couldnt even remember his name in the first season, so i assumed he'd left town.
Yes. I watch this show too much. Background noise - it implants in your mind!

Syl's watching Austin Powers and the same actor who plays Asher Flemming is in it, it was so funny to see him with the big sideburns and 1970s haircut!!

Lol that is funny! He's in Cabaret too which is odd to watch.
I was rewatching the first series recently and I don't remember if anyone's already mentioned this or not but in about the second or third episode Richard and Emily talk about Trix, but they talk about her in the past tense as though she's dead. But then she's later introduced as a character, I thought it was weird!

This is totally random, but, does anybody else feel that the only people that they can discuss Gilmore Girls and Literature with is online? I have that feeling because everybody I know doesn't really read and has never seen Gilmore Girls.

I do sometimes feel that way, yeh. Except with Dom, who i can chat to face-to-face (when i feel like it, hehe)
And Dom you're right, that always gets me with any Trix talk. Suddenly she's alive! And Emily hates her!
Kirk moving from Ned to nameless swan man to new person in town to lived-there-all-his-life-and-was-a-student-of-Miss-Patty's always sends me mental!!!! Seriously, do they think we are not anal retentive?! hehe

The other day I saw a re-run episode from Grey's Anatomy, and that Todd guy who dated Lane one miserable time was there. Yeah, we definetly watch GG too much.

You are so right about Kirk neh! One minute he is claiming he did not know Miss Patty and that's why he yelled at her for eating fruit at the market and then he is supposed to have been a student of hers all his life!
One thing that annoys me to no end, and I'm sure you guys have noticed, is that whenever they use the kitchen door they come out to the patio on the side of the living-room!

Oh! You've reminded me - i hate how both their house, the grandparent's house and Luke's diner look in the first few eps. When you've become so accustomed to them looking as they do throughout the series, the weird stylings in those pilots are frustrating. I mean, Luke had weird shelving in the back, with mugs on display, and the girls had a random step up into the kitchen area, and the grandparent's layout of their house changes so much you get dizzy!!!

I mean, Luke had weird shelving in the back, with mugs on display, and the girls had a random step up into the kitchen area, and the grandparent's layout of their house changes so much you get dizzy!!! I know! Luke's was also not on a corner, so the entire foundation of the diner was completely different. And in the beginning the grandparents' house looks so much smaller! Also, I was watching the episode where Sherry leaves Chris today and I realized how obnoxious it was that her personality changed so drastically. I mean, when you first met her she absolutely LOVED kids, and, according to Rory, wanted several and wanted them so badly she was willing to adopt as a single parent or something like that. Then when she actually has a baby, she freaks out because she is "so not a baby person"! Then by the 7th season she switches all of a sudden from workaholic to becoming "self-actualized" and dating her yoga instructor. It's so disconcerting. I'm a little sad that I remembered those quotes and easily replayed the scenes in my head...
