Well, I mainly read in German because it's my mother-tongue and English because I'm obsessed with it I'm learning French in school for about five years now but I'm still so bad at speaking, reading is okay but it could be better ^^ I've only got like two books in French.. I also buy foreign books because they're much more cheaper than German books.

I have a lit class this year entirely in Spanish so I'm reading alot of short stories and novellas in that language (my native tongue is English). I've been trying to learn French since I was eleven (I'm nearly 20 now) but for some reason none of it sticks in my brain! All my french teachers in the past have always told me my pronunciation is good though . Just wish I could understand what I'm saying . Does anyone else have trouble with french?

I'm so angry, I went to the library yesterday and it only stocks books in Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and of course English. I suppose there isn't much demand for other languages, but there are no foreign bookstores here and Amazon costs too much $$$.

I read in Czech (mother tongue) and a little bit in English.. but it takes so much time to finish it! But I'm trying, I'm trying.. By the way, I've learnt French for about 3 years at school, but I think I'm not so good in it for trying to read something.

English mostly though occasionally when I'm bored, I'll pick up a book in Polish to have a whack at it. It takes a lot longer to finish a book, though, which often makes me just toss it aside and go back to English, haha.

WOW!! That is really cool that so many of you can read in so many languages! I can speak inmy mother tongue, which is Urdu, (kind of like Hindi mixed with Persian and Arabic) but I can't read it. So I can only read in English

I obviously read a lot in polish since it's my mother tongue but i also enjoy reading in english. I've got at least 30 books in it and I would probably have more but one day my mom told me that I shouldn't go to the Empik (which is sth similar to HMV or other store with books,CDs and games) cause everytime I go there I buy another book;)

I learnt a few words of Portoguese when I spent 5 days there (my cousin lives in Lisbon), just how to say "thank you" and the names of some subway stops ;D lol, not very useful..
