So I am on season 2 disc 8... episode, whatever... .called Nick and Nora/Sid and Nancy... where Jess first comes into the picture and Luke pushes Jess into the lake.
Lol.
Okay so Im sure its been widely discussed before... but Im new, and I don't particularly relish the thought of rehashing all old threads, but this specific episode, where Rory calls Jess Dodger and he figures out that its from Oliver Twist.... and they exchange "that look"....
Im suddenly remembering, that although DEAN very hot, very hunky very cool.... and Logan Huntzberger - aside all his flaws has many perfections.... I remember now why I love the Rory & Jess saga, and totally get why they had the off scene romance all those years of filming.
So on that note, who was your favorite Rory boyfriend....and why?

Jess, and for the exact same reason. I fell in love with him as soon as he replied "Dodger" to Rory. That was always the pivital moment for me.
I also love when Rory asks him "I thought you didn't read much?" after he had handed her back her copy of Howl, and he answers with a smug little smile "What is much?".

Yeah Jess was my favourite. I didn't like Logan much cos he always seemed kinda smarmy and all. But I did like him one time when Rory went to him wanting to break up and then he says that he'll do the whole committed relationship thing. Dean was on a whole new scale of annoying urgh.

Hm, idk. I kind of like them all.
Dean was amazingly sweet to her, I mean he even made her a car. Dean and Rory [the early years, before Jess came] were really cute together.
Jess was amazing with Rory because they communicated so well together. They had the same interests and the whole bad boy thing is ;].
Logan was really good to, because in the beginning he didn't want to commit, but once he realized that meant leaving Rory, he decided to. And then he really pullled himself together for her.
So I really like all of them, haha.

Same for me, I liked them all because they all seemed to come at the right moment for Rory. I liked Dean for his sweetness, he was like the perfect first boyfriend a girl could have. I liked Jess because he was so smart, but it didn't bother me that much when they split because he was acting like such a jerk towards the end. And then I liked Logan because he sort of brought Rory out of her shell (for better and for worse!) and was the most fun out of the three.
I've got a follow-up question: Out of the 3, who would you most like to date?

I agree that every guy were good in the time, but my favorite is Logan. Rory and Logan both grow-up when they were together. Dean was a little bit too good, in annoying way. But the whole Dean was married and still with Rory thing made me hate Dean. Jess was mysterious, but I liked him more before they started dating. I don't know why. Well, Logan reminds for me to one guy who I got a crush. So that's my answer to Isa's follow-up question.

I agree with Isa, that they all seemed to come at the right moment for Rory. Anyway my favorite is Jess. But the whole Dean was married and still with Rory thing made me hate Dean. I know what you mean, I prefer Dean in the first seasons.

Jess is my favorite as well. He was smart, cute, and intriguing. Dean annoyed me the second time he and Rory were together. They were so awkward that time and then there was the whole Dean being married thing...

I really fell for Jess during the episode where he returns to Stars Hollow, and shares the book that he's written with Rory. I believe this episode appears in Season Six. I also love the fact that he works at a small, independent publishing house, and is very well-read. His passion for reading is very evident within the show. He just wasn't the so-called "right one" for Rory. Apparently Jess was going to have his own spin-off show, but I think it was cancelled because of high production costs. I like the way that his story-line ended the most out of Rory's past boyfriends', he definitely had his own happy ending.

I agree with Isa entirely. The first time I watched the series I loved Dean ( he was perfect first boyfriend ) and I hated Jess, because he ruined everything. But when Rory and Dean had their 'affair', I started thinking that Jess was a lot better for Rory, than Dean. After Logan entered the picture I knew immediately that Logan was right for Rory, it just seemed right. So I'd have to say that my first choice is going to be Logan, second Jess and third Dean.

I've got a follow-up question: Out of the 3, who would you most like to date? Jess, hands down, my kind of guy. Rebel bad boy image; a man's man of sorts... can hold his own [therefore protect me should i ever find myself a damsel in distress] but very witty... keen humor, and ultra, ultra intelligent. Definitely my perfect man. =) *le sigh*

Dean annoyed me the second time he and Rory were together. They were so awkward that time and then there was the whole Dean being married thing... Ya... and how he was about her coming out party... ya he did it, reluctantly, but instead of letting her revel in it, he's in such a hurry to get out of the tux, and is totally lame about it. I couldn't do the coming out thing, and all that stuff that Lauralei ran from... BUT... Rory wanted to do it, Dean should've been honored to be a part of it, and he wasn't and that killed it good and dead for me. I love jess and rory. i think jess is way better suited and well rounded; but then, i said that. lol.

All three have traits/things that annoy me, and all three have something i liked or could at least stand in them. I harboured the biggest crush on Jess, first viewing time around, as he was so bad-boy cute and clever and all that jazz, but then i later came back to it to find that he bugged me with hsi caouldnt-care-less attitude and i wanted to slap his face half the time, if only for poor Luke's sake! Later-Jess (the published author, bookstore owner etc.) is much easier to appreciate and i was proud to see the journey he'd taken (plus he talked some much needed sense into Rory!!) Dean always had something about him that ticked me off - i found that in a very Edward-from-Twilight sort of way he was sweet but dam possesive and controlling. Plus, his adulterous actions tipped the scale of course. (i will conceede that i did feel sorry for him when Rory was falling for Jess) Logan easily was the hardest to warm too - so very smug and self-absorbed, ugh!!! But by the seventh season, he seemed to turn around and against all my better judgement, i grew to like him somewhat. Of all of them, i'd probably say that Jess was the best for Rory... although as Isa said so perfectly, they all came to her just when she needed them and brought out specific things within her each time. I think i may have resented Logan the most for the things Rory did in his company... but then, that was her own fault, really. If i had to pick one for myself... actually i couldnt! I don't think i'd really go well with any of them, hehe! Mabye aspects of each guy melded into some sort of Jesdeagan person!!!
