I'd like to read some of them, but at the same time there are some picks on there that I'm not that interested in. I'd like to start our own book list on here when we get time to coordinate one (maybe after the postcard exchange). We also have the wb list in a thread on here now called the old wb list, if you want to use that as well as your print out

Uuuh! To start our own book list would be great! We definately have to think about that after the postcard exchange.

Yeah, Jefie and I have talked about it in the past and we both thought it would be a great idea Just have to do it and figure out how to do it when we have some spare time. Maybe we'd do it like we do the book club list and take nominations for it? Not sure. But after the postcard exchange I'd love to hammer out the details for it.

I'd love to help set up the book list whenever we do it. I could make a web page for it, or we could use Google Spreadsheets. With Google spreadsheets you can publish the file and then everyone can see it by going to a URL. You don't need any special software because it's all web based through google.

that sounds like a good idea, but I was thinking about trying to do it on a page that matches the colour scheme of the forum etc so it all goes together. I'm not entirely sure how we'lll work it cos Jefie and I still have to talk more about it, but yeah I want to try to work it out so it has the rory's book club banner and colour scheme if I can at least Also the book club has an account with both proboards and bravenet (for the forum and the chatroom) so for file management sake we might end up doing it with one of them? not sure

I really want to read all of them, but some of them didn't sound interesting.
Our own book list is a fantastic idea though!

oh my goodness! that sounds like a fabulous idea! =D i like the idea of having nominations! maybe we can have a separate thread just for nominations and if a book is nominated by more than, lets say, 5 people then the book is officially part of our book list? just an idea

I wouldn't say that it's my goal to read them ALL, just the ones that particularly interest me. I think I've already read most of the classics on the list, though.

I only discovered 'Gilmore Girls' a few weeks ago and only stumbled upon Rory's booklist a day or two back, but yes I intend to read her entire list. I like a challenge and have always since my earliest days of reading been a tad obsessive about lists or collections, arbitrary though they may be to me. Whether it was attempting to read every classic listed at the back of my Penguin classic edition of 'Jane Eyre' (ticking them off as I went) or resolving to read all the large dusty old hardbacks that my Dad kept locked in the glass-fronted bookcase in the hall (I was thwarted in this attempt as Dad at some point hid the key) I've always liked lists. I'm forever making them and absolutely love it when I come across a list that is relevant to a current obsession (a list of recommendations by a new favourite author, for example) so finding "Rory's book list", given that 'Gilmore Girls' is my new obsession, is an absolute booknerd gift from heaven.
Within hours of finding this site and the list I had scoured it noting every book I hadn't read and added them all to my wishlist. I'm not at all ashamed to say it has been a very exciting couple of days.

I want to read the whole list. I also want to read all of the books that were heard about throughout the series since they're not all in the WB list.
