I read Mary, Called Magdalene by Margaret George a year or so ago. I really liked it, but my mother was very angry because it had to deal with something Jesus didn't really do. And the book never said Jesus and Mary Magdalene ever got married, it actually had a part about why Jesus said he couldn't let that happen. Anyways, I really liked it...it was a way to read a fiction about a person many think is purely fictional.

Of mice and men(for school) Princess in the spotlight Enver et contre tout I loved Mice and Men, it's a great book. I've read it a few times. I've read most of Steinbeck's novels. I really like his writing.

A tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. It's a very good quality book. Only 70 more pages till I'm done.

i just started reading "Passing" by Nella Larsen. It deals with two African American women (Irene, and Clare), both very light skinned and able to "pass" as whites. Clare decided to "pass" as white, and marry's a white man who knows nothing about her African American Ancestry. After many years they meet up, and Irene is so disappointed that she would decide to pass as a white. Irene who is just as light skinned, chose to marry a black man and remain African American.

"El Tunel" by Ernesto Sabato, an Argentinian writer. It's the story of a murderer who tries to explain why he killed a woman so it's sort of a twisted psychological suspense. I'm reading it for my Spanish course and it's actually really, really good!

Ten thousand sorrows by Elizabeth Kim. Decided on a biography, it´s been some time. And I have to read an invitation to old England and Anglo-Saxon England by Bruce Mitchell for my medieval English studies class.

I'm going to be finishing "Passing" by Larsen this week end, probably tommorow. Then I will start "invisible Man" by Ellison. Has anyone read it? What did you think about it, on amazon it has good reviews.
