I agree with memccart, I could live there forever! I love the Beauty and the Beast. ... I've been staring at the picture hoping it to became real...but it hasn't worked so far. Ditto on that memcart! Although lu your library seems to be just as amazing. i don't know if it's the lighting but the books look really old You're right sage, there are many old books. That's why it isn't easy have the ticket to be allowed borrowing books from there. My mom checked out some books for me when I had to do my exam at the end of school, one of those books was written with a typewriter, it was a diary of year 1944. Just near the door, where I usually sit down to study, there are many books written in Latin, which are so old...they aren't allowed to be borrowed of course, you have to read them there and I'm sure you need a sort of special permission. I'd love to have a look at all those books they look so great!! Last week I made a search online for some works by Hawthorne, Nabokov, ecc.. and that library has many first edition of their books, or editions from 1930s to 1970s. I love that library! I've found other two pictures online: I'm very proud (have you notice that?? ) of having such a place in my city, but the other libraries are not like that, they look really...normal.

ever been to the library in london? The britisch library.. WOW! you don't have to go to the cafeteria.. (too expensive) and you can't really get in without a pass.. but in the middle theres a big column thingy with books to the roof! Like this: www.thekua.com/rant/wp-content/BritishLibraryKingsLibrary.jpgand: snurb.info/files/aoir2004/library.jpgit is HUGE! the library in my town is dull, small and very modern.. this is the outside.. and the inside is newly done.. those are cd's and dvd's, but you get the pont.. I can't find other pictures..

our library has '3 parts' in the middle is like hallway, where the desk is and where at the back are the cd's and the walls in this middle section are red, on the left there are informational books and on the right all the novels... on the ground they have these rugs that are black with red roses on it and the walls are white.. everything is very modern, but it is also very small... and that sucks.. you work at th library? do you get payed for that? I have the feeling our library has people working for free...

Here's a pic I took at the British Library in London - it's not very good because I took it with my old camera and then scanned it, but I thought it was an interesting sculpture:

We don't have all that many older people. Many of us are younger than 40. There are about 10 college students, myself included.
