i liked it too. i agree that there could have been more passion and not just assumptions, but it was okay for the most part.

I haven't read the book, but I found the movie of the girl in the pearl earing quite slow.

Somehow books only seem to be about Holland when the story includes painters.

i just finished My Lai 4 by Seymour Hersh. it's so good, but really sad. i would recommend it. it just gives you a big outlook on what really happened at the My Lai Massacre. the stuff that happened was simply atrocious and i think that Hersh did a fantastic job of giving out the information.

I finished reading Magyk by Angie Sage. I won't compare it to Harry Potter because it wouldn't be fair. I really did enjoy the book, knowing that it wouldn't be like Harry Potter. It was a different magical world, and it was enjoyable to read. I have the second book, and i'll read it soon.

I have chain of command by hersh but I´ve yet to read it. The library has The Samson option but not My Lai4, weird that it´s out of print! What´s the story of Magyk? Can´t read it if it´s sad, I´m still dealing with the bambi-trauma

I finished A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens today. Read it every year in december. It's my favourite Dickens, although Oliver Twist is great, too.

Maybe I should try reading Oliver Twist or A Christmas Carol then... because the only Charles Dickens novel I've ever read was Great Expectations and I didn't really like it.
