bruno is the reason why i believe in love at first. my boyfriend during part of my junior year of high school, nick, did not want to go to prom. and honestly i didn't want to either. so i wasn't going to go. my friends kept telling me i was making a mistake because nick did not want to go. they went behind my back to set me up with bruno, just as a date. i was new to the school (nick was not a student there either) so i did not know anybody, but apparently everyone knew bruno. i kept hearing how perfect we would and look together. i kept saying no. but for days in the halls i was asked are you going to prom with bruno?? and i would say .. "who is bruno? ?" my friends who in the same class a bruno (he was a senior i was a junior) introduced us. his class was down the hall from ours. so before the bell rang, we stood in the hall waiting for him. the bell rang and the hallway was empty, and were about to go back to class, i turned towards the room when corrine (my friend) grabbed me and said there he is! by the time i look all i saw was bruno's back turning into his class. right then and there i fell in love with him. i only saw him for a few seconds and not even his face. just his back. i felt so guilty when i went back to class bc i had feelings for bruno while i was going out With nick. my friend gave me his screen name - i would sit in front of my computer waiting for him sign. he would then sign right off or leave an away message up. i talked to him only once or twice for a few mins each. i agreed to go to prom. nick was so upset with me - kept saying i would leave him for bruno. bruno made prom so special for me. he was the sweetest person. so respectful and thoughtful. tried his best not to make me feel uncomfortable. prom was over and i was so upset! the following day i broke up with nick because i knew bruno and i would end up together. i didn't know how or when but i knew. finally, after much stalking (i walked around the school during each class finding his classes) i ran into him in the cafe. he told me to call him. that night we talked for hours. and now we are engaged. 5 years later. love is a beautiful thing.

I met my boyfriend at a math enrichment program I was attending (I'm terrible at math) years ago. We were both 14 then. We're 18 now. =]

I met Jonathan when i was 9 and he was 10. It was "love" at first sight - for me! I wrote in my diary, "I'm in love with Jonathan. I have a feeling he's the one for me and I'm only 10 years old. I'm going to marry him someday!" His family moved away, and it wasn't until 11 years later, my senior year in college over christmas break, that I saw him again - briefly. We exchanged email addresses, and he left (he was in the air force, stationed in Japan). We emailed and talked on the phone for the first 8 months of our "relationship". Which was perfect - I communicate better in writing, so we got to know each other very well before dating face-to-face. Then he was out of the military and we started dating officially. We got married the next year and have been happily married these past 8.5 years! And I still have that diary, tucked away in my dresser drawer.

Wow, that is so beautiful! It sounds just like a Nicholas Sparks book or something (that's positive)

That's such a great story. I love when people seem destined to be together even if I'm not really sure I believe in all of that soulmate stuff. I think you win for best story.

Yippeeee! That's funny, "...you win....". When our family plays games, I always LOVE to win and really hate to lose. I'm very competitive. I know, meeting Jonathan wasn't a game, so it doesn't count!! ha ha ha!

Whatever...I say you can win at anything. That's my strategy in life. The best way to get me to do something is to tell me you don't think I can. Then I will because I want to win. And you didn't win Jonathan. It's winning the cutest story. Totally different.
