The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera. Hate it!! Think I´ve said that before . But it´s horrible especially since critics made such a big deal about it. Hated the characters, they were so stupid and some dream sequences were disgusting! Okay, I´m trying to calm down now. I don´t like that Dickens goes so much into detail when he´s describing the scenery. Especially plants. I have a hard time remembering plant names in German but I´m lost in English! But his stories are great.

I really hate "The medicus" by Noah Gordon, it's so boring and everyone tell me, I had to read it, cause it's so great...no, I really didn't like it, and I even stopped reading, which I normally never did....

But his stories are great. Dickens was paid by the word, and his works published serially. One of my professor's once said "Dickens is hard to read because he's annoying" I think it's true. If you could skip over some of his details and get right to the story...much better read.

One off my rest-your-brain-books. Andrea annoyed me in the later chapters. But it wasn´t horrible and the beginning was very funny.

I hate Catcher in the Rye by Salinger. I know many people love it but Holden was an idiot crybaby.

Phew, what a relief to see that so many great minds don't like Dickens either! When I was studying English lit in uni, I wondered why we didn't do any Dickens seeing that he's so well known so after I finished and was free to read what I wanted I picked up Great Expectations - well, let's just say my expectations were great indeed and I was soooo disappointed!

I´ve got two of them because I wanted the original not just the translation but it´s ugly. It´s freaking ORANGE! The story is great
