I live at home and my commute is 20 mins. I take the bus and metro so it isn't stressful.

ive always wanted to dorm, but after commuting for three years i dont think its worth it. i have my own apartment so thats kind of like dorming. i do agree its easier to meet people when u dorm. Dont get me wrong i have made tuns of friends as a cummuter but i think you form a deeper bond if you dorm. also, i take out loans for tutition .. its less to pay back.

So, this isn't really stress, but bordem. I basically decided the other day that I'm not going to go to my philosophy lectures anymore. They're boring and the teacher rambles about lots of irrelevant stuff. When I read the assignment before the lecture, my teacher doesn't even teach us that assignment but goes off on some tangent. I think I can do just fine by reading the stuff and going to the smaller discussion group. There's no attendance taken in the lecture, so I'm just not going to go. It does piss me off though that I'm paying so much for a class I could've taught myself...

Uh, that sounds like a horrible class! My classes are all mandatory but they are not completely useless.

I"ve had a few classes like that, it's such a waste. Atleast you'll learn through the literature.

My classes are all mandatory too. I just wish they would be more interesting.

I would like my classes to be less theorical, I sometimes feel that I'm not learning anything, that's an horrible feeling! Probably I feel so also because a class lasts about three months...how can I learn and understand well an unknown subject in three months?! Everyone tell me that I'll understand everything when I'll start working...does it mean that uni is only a way to spend money?! I've always thought that it would be a sort of "paradise" of culture. I think that italian university system was better before the last reform.

It's me again. Worrying about yet another question that no one can really answer unless well your fate. I am so nervous. I just got one of those "we are currently reviewing your application...you may check your status online to make sure you have submitted everything..." I am nervous because this means that i will find out the direction fate will be taking me in about 1-2 weeks (Finally!). The problem, TCNJ(The College of New Jersey) is considered the Ivy League of state schools. It is EXTREMELY hard to get into and well guess what I did. Not only did I not have an interview but ALSO basically wrote my essay as if it was a big deal!! I basically decided to apply just incase. But now the more I think about it,(fairly cheap tuition, AMAZING Bio program, not far from home, small school, relatively small classes...) the school seems perfect and I feel stupid for rushing into it as if it was no big deal. I feel dumb because I feel the admission officers laughing hysterically at my essay and my obvious disregard for such a great school. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD please let me get in.... I really really want to get in. I will write again telling you the final conculusion to this semi-soap opera-ish dilemma
Dramatic Enough??? Oh yea

Wow, that sounds so stressing. Maybe your essay was great just because you didnĀ“t make a big deal of it. That happens! The school seems to be really great, I hope you get in. Good luck!!

THE UPDATE:: Well after praying and crying and feeling really pathetic about myself TCNJ made it all better NOT. I got an e-mail saying that my application is going through a "second review" and I should find out no later than April 1st. I should be more thankful but to me it means an entire month of freaking out and stressing and crying. I am honestly so tired. But if i get in it will sooooo be worth it. Do most applicants get rejected if they are deferred or accepted?
