My bachelor is a strict 3 year thing and all classes are mandatory but the first year I have to take lit, linguistics, language and medieval. Next year I get to choose between classes in these fields and maybe drop one. Yeah, I´m glad I don´t have to take sciences

I am taking General Relativity, Particle Physics II, Fluid mechanics, Nuclear technology and Computative physics II... I am tired just thinking about it!

OMG, you have no idea how awful that schedule sounds to me! What type of job would you like to do after you graduate?

He he he... Well I am going to go for a Phd in Astronomy or Theoretical physics! Just something to avoid standing in line in the unemployment office for another 7 years! After that, I think my only choice will be something in academia...

Interesting subjects bookworm! You're great! I know what you feel,I'm sometimes very tired of thinking and hearing everytime about the same subjects, even if I love what I'm studying and I really want to do it as a job. Astronomy is so amazing, I studied it during my last year of school and I absolutely loved it, so interesting..so great! And you're really brave, Physic seems an hard study.

Hey all, thanks for your kind words! Indeed physics is hard and it requires hours and hours of studying, but I guess it's the same for any science and it can be very rewarding... Kristie, we are studying string theory in Particle Physics II now, although we can't go very deep since it's an undergraduate course... It is a fascinating field of physics that is really popular these days, lots of theorists are working on it... I am happy to see someone so young already has heard something about this field of physics, I was ignorant until a couple of years ago... Are you thinking of studying physics? Just a tip: you shouldn't be intimidated by the fancy names of physics' classes whether you are at school or college! Usually a good understanting of fundamental concepts and some mathematical skills are enough for even the 'hardest' of classes!

haha Bookworm, I am so bad at all science and math it isn't even funny. I'm not studying physics and plan to never take a science class after next semester again (only because I have to). I just took physics in high school for a class so it was easier to keep a higher GPA (the class was pretty easy and we went to a amusement park for roller coaster type problems at the end of the year). But I am interested in string theory and I have a book on my TBR list that is based on the documentary series we watched in class.

That's where my high school physics class went. We had to ride the Magnum like 4 times in order to get the right readings, and on the 4th time we got stuck halfway up the hill for awhile. We ended up "cheating" and asking someone who worked there for certain measurements so that we could get the right answer.

The upcoming semester I'm taking: General Biology Organic Chemistry Evolutionary Genetics Biodiversity of Phanerogams Neurobiology/Cell biology Lab hopefully Math and Math Lab, maybe Physics and Physics Lab maybe Bird biology field trips at known dates to unknown places thinking about field trips: it's so exciting to see that once you get more advanced in your studies, you can take field trips to the most amazing places. To Canada, the Canary Islands, Italy, South America,... Compared to the field trips you went in high school: the forest 10 minutes away from the school, the museum in the neighboring town,... It keeps me motivated.

Evolutionary genetics sounds very interesting. Too bad I´m not very skilled in sciences. In my last year at school the biology intensive course spent 2 weeks in Canada. I was so jealous! Yeah, my field trips in school were more or less like yours

Yeah, field trips in the younger school years aren't that exciting. In 5th grade though we went to a camp for a week about 4 hours south of home. And I guess there was that field trip to Scotland for a week, but only the Band gets to do that and it's pretty expensive depending on when and where you're going.
