haha truth be told I never do anything terribly interesting for spring break. 2005...that was the spring break I went to Edinburgh for a trip with the school's marching Band to play in the Easter Festival. Nick wasn't there but I still had a great time...despite the indigestion (thank god my friend brought TUMS). it's a tradition in my family to have easter with my grandparents, but this year my spring break is well before easter, so i don't know what'll happen. maybe i'll take off work and just hang out with nick since he prolly won't have farmwork to do that early in the spring lol if i could afford it, i'd go to yosemite or yellowstone, or preferably delani but that's farther away in alaska. i want to see some national parks of that size.

Well, this is my first year of uni but I don´t have a "spring break". There should be two weeks without classes but with exams for some students, I´ll just head home to my family and see my friends there.

Yeah I went back yesterday and I'm trying to get back into the whole school groove...i.e. Do homework and not watch Gilmore Girls (so hard!). I have an extra class this semester (six) but it's not too bad. I have more work but it's just enough to keep me occupied but not stressed and enough to keep me from slacking off. Luckily, I have 2 year long classes so it's not too much new stuff. I am gonna miss my Tuesday schedule though--when I had 2 study halls back to back in the mornings...that was nice!
Only 4 1/2 months of highschool left. Then I have a school sponsored Bay Studies (when us Marylanders help with Chesapeake Bay issues) and seniors only have to take exams if they have a C average so crossing my fingers that I don't....no finals!
I can't wait!

For those of you in uni, how much do a semester's worth of books usually cost? This semester it was around $360 for me, but that's more than it was by about $50 from last semester. And this semester it was all used paperbacks, so I don't know how that happened exactly...

This year is not too bad, but I haven't gotten them all yet so it can still get worse. My first semester I spent almost $1000 on books.

I didn´t really spent anything on books except for 20 euros for a linguistic book. Literary studies is an elementary course so we discuss excerpts and get those off a server. For other courses the materials are also online or we have to buy readers but they cost like 30 euros. I have a couple of books checked out from the library at uni. I don´t think I´ll ever have to spent as much money as you guys. $1000?That´s crazy! How can you pay for that, I think I´d have to quit my studies.

I wish I could have a semester like that. My last semester I'll have in college will be student teaching...so there's no way I'll have it that easy. Perhaps my last semester of junior year. Senior year is pretty full. I could take some summer classes to lighten my load during the rest of the year I suppose. I'll prolly end up doing that at some point
