I just watched the episode where Rory goes to Logan's sister's wedding - I think the green dress she's wearing is the worst thing I've ever seen her in. It looks way too big for her.
Edit: Forget what I said, the brown dress she wears in the next episode is even worst!

I actually like the green dress, even though I have to agree is far too big for her, it looked like a tent some times and as if she was going to step it and trip, lol. I can't recall that brown dress from I'm OK You're OK...

I found what Rory wore in season 1 and 2 really cute, even if they were daggy! She influenced me to go out and get a denim jacket!

The green dress wasn't that bad but it was way too big for her, it just didn't really fit her. Like jobean I liked her clothes much better during the first couple of seasons, everything got worse during the 6th and 7th..

I can't even remember the green dress.... She wore it to Logan's sister's wedding, and one of the bridesmaids asked her "Carolina's?" (as in "Is your dress from Carolina Herrera") and she said "No, mine", lol. Does that ring any bells?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0HHWKZ94IcI found a video where you can kinda see it, just you can't see that it's long all the way down.. (Just a spolier warning for those who haven't watched past the 6th season, I don't think it's really a spoiler but still )

I don't mind the green dress too much, but it does look a bit huge on Alexis' tiny frame, and a bit baggy in the bust.

Yeah, at some point she crosses her arms and it makes the fabric stick out in the back because it's just too big

You'd think there'd be someone on a popular tv show set who could fit one of the main actresses dresses properly!

Anyone cares for a (fashionable) guy's opinion? I didn't really liked her clothes in the first two seasons. It all looked...old. The fact that it was shot in 2000-2001 probably has something to do with it....although I think Lorelei always was dressed nice. I for example really liked Lorelei's denim jacket in season 1, but disliked Rory's jacket (mainly because of the colour, I myself only wear dark blue denim too). In the first part of season 3, she somewhat wore the same kind of outfits she wore in the first two seasons, but it got better in the second half of the season. In season 4 she had outfits that were pretty cool. In season 5 she started wearing less boring (= outfits with more than 3 colours) stuff, she got more colourful/playful. In 6 and 7, they tried to make her look more adult/classy I think...but they failed in my opinion. I saw a couple of nice outfits, but I disliked most of it, simply because it didn't fit. It was all too big (I suppose tight outfits doesn't fit the character). Conclusion: I think the choices weren't that bad at all actually, especially in the first five seasons, I think a Rory type of person would've dressed like that (not trying to be negative, just saying she wasn't into fashion that much). But the last two seasons were just...not that good. ....needless to say, she looks good in anything anyway (off topic: about her make-up, totally the other way around. It started good (less make up) but ended HORRIBLE.)

You're right Wes but on the other hand "fasionable" girls at 16 look slutty in my opinion, plus I think she dressed pretty classy and elegant on the 4th season, I thought it was fasionable but not too fashionable!

I think most of the clothes are classic. The clothes in the first sew seasons aren't too bad. If they were super trendy during the time it was shot, they'd be pretty bad now. It would be like watching an 80s movie complete with the big hair and leggings!
Probably my favorite clothing item is the blue dress she wears when she is at the Life and Death Brigade thing. Maybe because her character wasn't the one who picked it out!
