I can't do too much with mine either because it's so straight. It won't hold any kind of curl very well. To get curls to last I have to leave heated rollers in for like over an hour and use heaps of product. And cos my hair is so straight it just slips out of any up styles I try to do. It's really fine as well.

My hair's long and (naturally) curly and I like it because it's very low maintenance. I step out of the shower, rub some leave-in conditioner into it and I'm good to go!

i wish i had long naturally wavy hair. can you have naturally wavy hair or only naturally curly hair? lol wavy is better than curly i think...it depends on the person and how tight the curls are i suppose

lol, I'm not sure, I think that if it's naturally wavy, it doesn't look that good... my friends that have wavy/semi-curly hair all need to iron it out.

I have really thick hair. It takes forever to dry. Hairdressers always charge me more because I have so much hair! Yeah, my hair is that like that and even with a dryer it takes a while. I´ve never been charged more because of it but they always ask me if I really want a cut because it would be a shame but they should try having long and thick hair for awhile, then they wouldn´t be so enthusiastic anymore. I have wavy hair, I always try to straighten it but it´s not a big success.

I have a great ceramic iron. Hairdressers get really tired trying to dry my hair.

bookaddict, is your straightener one of those $200 ones? my roommate has one that she paid $200 for and she swears that its better than any straightener you can get. personally...i think its rather strange to spend that much money on a straightener...but thats just me.

It was 200$ but i got it for a little over a hundred. i did that becuase i was always going to the hairdresser to get my hair straightened and it was cheaper to just buy one. So i bought one, and LOVE it! One summer we had 5 weddings to go to lol. Every other straightener would not work on my hair...I tried many different kinds.

i guess it makes sense for someone who has to straighten their hair practically every day to buy an expensive one...especially if their hair is hard to straighten. and ya got a good deal on it so you cant beat that. for me it wouldnt be a wise investment since i hardly ever have to straighten my hair. just a few pieces every now and then.
