I can get Pilsner Urquell in Canada! I can actually get it at my favorite cafe, "Le Temps Perdu" (as in Marcel Proust's "À la recherche du temps perdu"), they've got beer from all around the world.

Yes, I've tried it and I liked it, it had a crisp, fresh taste and no bitter aftertaste. I guess Canadians take their beer pretty seriously too! I like Irish beer too, of course! If you find that Guiness is too bitter, you should try mixing it with apple cider. Overhere we call this drink a Black Velvet - the sweetness of the cider takes away the bitterness of the beer and you're left with a really good drink!

lol I remember you telling me about that and I tried to order one but they looked at me really weird. Apparently If I wanted it I'd have to buy a full guiness for 6 bucks and then a strongbow for 5 and mix them myself in another glass. because they don't have apple cider on tap here, but I wish I could have tried it it sounds really nice.

I may be late in doing this, but i just put in my vote for the lovely island Down Under. And Dom, i know you met this line literally, but i think it's rather poetic: Most of the activity seems to occur while I'm dreaming. It's true though; we miss most the action at the exact time it occurs, but i guess in compensation we get New Years and Christmas before most others! And i also just wanted to add that i'm a very sad excuse for a human being; i've never seen snow. Not that randomgirl is sad, not at all - i just mean that in winter i COULD travel a few hours and go down to the snow but i never do, and then i complain about it so i'm just silly! I've discovered that before about 12pm is the most happening time on the board while we're awake

Oh my I'm jealous that you even have strongbow! I really enjoyed it in Italy, and now I miss ordering it on tap. Speaking of mixing things with Apple Cider, I love rum and Apple Cider, we call it an Apple Jack (because we use Captain's). It's really smooth and delicious. It's not the most common thing though, probably very hard to order it in a bar because no one keeps Apple Cider around. But a very good and easy drink to make at home.

We mix it in here with KOFOLA,something like Coke, but a bit biter, coze coke and rum together is just tooo sweet .But this one is something like our national drink(next to the beer of course ),so if you can get kofola, pour the rum in,thats my advice

Europe is gorgeous, but don't go to Belgium. It is kind of boring, but maybe that's just because I live here. But we have chocolate, beer and fries. My roots are in France though.
