Even a little bit is bad enough. I would have cried.

My Grapes of Wrath still has that red coolaid stain on the side for some of it. But that's okay, it was a school book and I wrote all over the inside and will prolly never read it again.

I'm very finicky about who i loan my books too...and will only loan to people I know care about books as much as I do. I'm still learning how to do all this stuff lol I've read Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants so many times, it's not funny. I think it's my most read book lol did you love it bookaddict?

I leant 1984 to a friend once and it came back very tattered with a stain on the front cover, but I felt too bad about saying anything about it. Next time I'm only gonna let her borrow books I don't like...

Once I bought a book and my roomate wanted to read after I was done. Since I was already in the middle of a novel, I told her to read it first, but when she gave it back to me it was pretty tattered and didn't look like a new book anymore. I was disappointed about it but what could I say? I didn't want to sound like a lunatic! So I guess I won't ever let someone read one of my books before I've read it again.

I like having all my books all nice on my shelf. I don't understand how someone could return one looking like that without saying anything about it, it's like ignoring a big pink elephant in the middle of the room, or returning a dvd all scratched...

that's one thing i hate about my boyfriend: he always touches the DVD part that you're not supposed to touch and he's really careless with them. i get paranoid he'll ruin my movies. just a pet peeve i have, i suppose.
