ok, so there's this amazing quote that i'm sure is in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The problem is I can't find the quote. It has something to do with a new book, the crisp pages, the smell of a new book...Does anyone know what i'm talking about? I'm trying to find the quote.

I found the Quote!!! It's not from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants...lol
It's from "Little Alter's Everywhere"
"Sidda can't help herself, She just loves books. Loves the way they feel, the way they smell, loves those black letters marching across the white pages."
That's how i feel. I love the crisp pages, the smell of a new books...I can't bend my pages. I love keeping my books looking like new...bent pages bother me.

YEA! that is a great quote ... I'm very careful with my books too I hate breaking the spine or bending the pages. I've gotten some what used to it because i am forced to buy used books but if i buy it new i want it to stay perfect forever!!!

for my paperbacks, i don't like to break the spine because it could fall apart easier, but i do dog ear the pages with good quotes that i want to write down later once i've finished. i don't write or highlight in most of my books, unless i specifically buy them as school books.

I loaned a book to a cousin a couple years ago, and she cracked the spine, as well as rolling the rest of the book around the spine. I don't think I've loaned a book out since.

Probably just as well. I figured since we were all at the same place, I could keep an eye on the book, but I wasn't quick enough.

Wow, I´d never do that to someone else´s book. I sometimes role the paperbacks so they fit in my pockets. And I love to see the lines at the spine so I can tell I´ve read the book and it doesn´t look like decoration. However they´ve all survived my treatment and I only do that with my own books, not ones I´ve borrowed or taken from the library.

I would never roll or bend a book on purpose. It just seems wrong. In university I never put highlighter in my book either. It seemed like a sacrilege.
