I've been giving this thread some thought. I hate to make really specific reading goals, but I'm going to try. Here's a list of books: First I want to read all Jane Austen's books. I've read a few, so a few will be re-reads. 1. Sense and Sensibility 2-Pride and Prejudice 3-Mansfield Park 4-Emma 5-Northanger Abbey 6-Persuasion 7-Lady Susan
Here's another list, I must read at least 10 out of 14. A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, Betty Smith Tender Is The Night, F Scott Fitzgerald Special Topics in Calamity Physics The Pillars of the Earth Mockingbird, Charles Sheilds (Bio) Into the Wild, Jon Krakauer Tess of the D'Uberville, Thomas Hardy Animal Farm, Orwell (re-read) Clara Callan, Richard B Wright The Kitchen Boy, Robert Alexander The Girls, Lori Lansens Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures, Vincent Lam Catch-22, Joseph Heller Magical Thinking, Augusten Burroughs

I'm afraid of setting goals. But I think I will go with the finishing Jane Austen one that some of you have mentioned. I think I can handle 3 required books.

Actually I made a huge list the other day about this. But then I went to the library and they had none of them, so the lady who works there said they could get them for me, and asked me to make a list. I didn't want to be a huge pain in the butt, so I made a list of five. This is my short-term list: - Ernest Hemingway: "A Farewell to Arms", "A Moveable Feast" - Sylvia Plath: "The Bell Jar" - Fyodor Dostoevsky: "Crime and Punishment" - Leon Tolstoy: "Anna Karenina" So next week I'll drop by and see if they got any of these.

My goal is to try and read more then I did last year. And I'm also doing a alphabet challenge by author.
