I'm also really keen for Margaret Atwood's new one to be released later this year called The Year of the Flood. It's going to be another dystopic one. I should really get around to reading Orx and Crake before this new one comes out though because it's been sitting on my shelf waiting to be read for ages! Info about the new book here: www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/a/margaret-atwood/year-of-flood.htm

I'm excited about the release of her new novel too, Dom; I'm a huge fan of Margaret Atwood's in general, but I'm especially a fan of her dystopian novels. I really enjoyed Oryx and Crake, I definitely thought it was original; I hope you like it too whenever you get around to reading it. My favorite Margaret Atwood novel though is The Handmaid's Tale.

Ohhh I don't think I knew Lisa See had a new one coming out, it looks good! Yes, Shanghai Girls! This looks so good! I actually snatched an ARC (Advanced Readers Copy) from work the other day But I know I won't have time to read it before the book comes out probably, which is like May 25th or something. Lisa See has made me very interested in China. And I have always felt that China during WWII has been unrepresented, so I'm glad this has a little of that

The Year of the Flood looks amazing! I am so glad Atwood keeps writing. If/when she retires I'll just die.

I currently have two books on pre-order (Amazon) that are due out in September:
'Generation A' by Douglas Coupland (apparently it's a kind-of follow-up to 'Generation X'? Sounds cool from what little I've (thus far) heard. Can't wait. I've been buying Coupland's latest on the day of publlication since 'Girlfriend In A Coma'!)
'American On Purpose' by Craig Ferguson (his autobiography. Should be interesting. I'm hoping it'll be excellent, since he can definitely write (if his debut novel of a couple of years ago was anything to go by.)
Both of these are due for publication in early September.
