My reading goal this year is to read at least two books a month, so about 24 books during the entire years. I would do more but with school it’s hard to find the time to read for pleasure anymore.

My goal is to read at least 50 pages a day (in a book I do not read for uni).

I'm still thinking about a reading goal... I have so many ideas (5 books a month, 50 p. a day, reading in Dutch...) or reading challenges (focus on a author or a particular litterature (Jane Austen, Bronte Sisters, Russian Litterature, Marguerite Duras, 20th century litterature, Shakespeare...)). I can't make my mind!! Any tips?

The goal of reading in a particular language works for me. I always set a percentage of books in English to read, this year is 45% but I hope to get to 50%.

After reading "Enthusiasm" by Polly Shulman, I am thinking of a possible "Jane-Austen-Reading-Year": reading her novels (in English) and other stories based on her universe ("Mr Darcy takes a wife"...), besides other books which are not related to this theme. I am not completely sure because I am a little afraid of being eventually tired of it...

But I have to admit I read only one 'Austen related' novel and I didn't even like it.

This year, I would like to read 80 books That's ambitious! Last year my goal on goodreads was to read 70, i failed miserably at only 38 so my goal this year is to read 50. as this year I know I will be quite busy I need to do well in college exams then university in September where I will be a Lit major yay. Haven't decided if it's fair to count uni books towards the 50 yet though

Therefore, 80 seems a reasonable challenge and as I am also very busy, I don't want to put my expectations too high I think it depends what kind of uni books they are. I don't count law books because it is course material. But I count essays that I read for uni paper and for pleasure (such as essays about "Law and Literature")

I am failing miserably so far. I've only read about 5 books this year so far. I'm hoping i will read more now I have the time. Last year was similar. I read virtually nothing January-April. Then come May my reading picked up and I read the most in July.

I am a bit behind but I am slowly but surely catching up thanks to the holiday and the huge amount of free time that summer holidays generally imply ;-) I listen to a lot of audiobooks because I can do that while doing something else

My goal this year is 48 books (4 books a month). Even though I set an easy goal, I'm not doing well with it. Goodreads tells me I'm 17 books behind, I'm not sure I'll catch up before the end of the year...unless I read a lot of children books.

I set my goal to 50 this year and since I have been reading a lot of YA (and at least 10 books for uni), Goodreads tells me I am 4 books ahead! I used to be more books ahead, but I have been reading less this summer. 13 books left though!

For my goodreads challenge (80), I was something like 20 books behind at the beginning of the summer holiday and now I am slowly but surely catching up : I am only 8 books behind schedule! So, I hope I will still be able to fulfill my challenge
