Der *Regenbogenfisch hat keine Angs mehr by Marcus Pfister (a kids book in German the only book in German that the library where I work owns) I loved that when I was in kindergarten. I went to the library this week (by the way, I live right across the street from it) and got: The first and second book of the Harry Potter series and Letter to D. - History of a love by André Gorz.

I returned Mystère rue des Saints-Pères two days ago and I checked out Bianca come il latte, rossa come il sangue by Alesandro D'Avenia (the title means 'White as milk, red as blood').

Hi guys thought I would join this thread. I tend to borrow books as apose to buying right now. My local one is only a few minutes away and although the selection isnt that vast but they are great at getting stuff in. I have my own account online and you can reserve, renew books from anywhere in the city and then pick them up at your local. It's really great. So I stopped by today and got: Anne Frank (can't believe I've never read it) Angela's Ashes- Frank McCourt The Fountainhead- Ayn Rand They're on Rory's list i think. I'm a little nervous about the fountainhead, as it looks a bit complicated and its about 800 pages long and I have a bad habit of abadoning books when I get bored with them, but Im going to go for it I currently have Flowers for Algernon reserved. And I also requested for the library to buy Summer and the city, its just chick lit, but its a prequel to the Sex and the city tv series which I am a fan of. I've also requested Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel, as a friend recommended it and they dont have any copies in the system.

Most libraries have a similar online service here as well, it's great! Libraries are great! I get most of the books I read from library, it's a much cheaper way because books are expensive here. I bought The Fountainhead years ago (it was 50% off!) and I haven't read it yet, I'm kind of nervous about the number of pages AND the very very small printed type. Angela's Ashes is really good! Hope you like it.

I finally got Flowers for Algernon, its soo good I like it a lot I also got 'How to avoid being killed in a war zone' Something I've become really interested in lately is military journalism and war in general. Its written by Rosie Garthwaite who's an Al Jazeera journalist. Its like a practical guide but its has a lot of her own experiences its really cool

Nobody visits this thread anymore Or the board in general actually Anyway the library called me a couple days ago saying I had reserved too many- I reserved 25 the maximum you can have is 12. This is typical me- whenever I come accross a book Im interested in online I immediately go to the online library catalogue and reserve it. So they had to send some back. Anyway this time I got a lof of what I would call 'Jess books' The Crying of Lot 49-Thomas Pynchon The Outsiders- S.E. Hinton Fat Land: How americans became the fattest people in the world- Greg Critser Valley of the dolls- Jacqueline Susann Fear and Loathing in Las vegas- Hunter S Thompson The Color of Water- james Mcbride Hells Angels- Hunter Thompson Notes of a Dirty old man- Charles Bukowski Kavalier and Klay- Michael chabon God is Not great- Christopher Hitchens Me talk pretty one day- David Sedaris been in such a reading slump lately Im starting with me talk pretty one day because I've heard its really funny

I am quite jealous because I can only listen to audiobooks for the moment (because of finals coming up)... How do you find the time of reading so many books? I don't really borrow books from library. I prefer owning the books I read
