I'm really into the Paris Review Interviews lately, I just bought the latest book (The Paris Review Interviews, Vol. 1) so I went to the library and found "Women writers at work" which is Paris Review interviews of just women authors. A couple of these were also in my Vol. 1 I just purchased, but a lot of other good ones too I also checked out "The Paris Review book of Heartbreak Madness Sex Love Betrayal Outsiders Intoxication War Whimsy Horrors God Death Dinner Baseball Travels The Art of Writing and Everything Else in the World since 1953" which is basically amazing and I need to own it soon.
I just discovered the Paris Review magazine and all of their books, and have been devouring them rapidly.

*sigh*! Another gap in my education! Have fun with the interviews, they sound great.

*sigh*! Another gap in my education! Have fun with the interviews, they sound great. I know, I can't believe I had never heard of them! Definitely cool to check out. Dorothy Parker's interview is the first one in "The Paris Review Interviews, Vol 1" that I just bought. It's also in "Women Writers at Work." Maybe you've read it somewhere else too, I don't know how extensively they're reprinted. I just looked in my Portable Dorothy Parker, and it's not in there. At this website you can download a lot of the inteviews for free: www.parisreview.com/literature.phpThe only ones it seems you can't download are the ones just published in the book, alas....Dorothy too. I also really loved Truman Capote's interview. He's just fantastic.

Me again. Met a guy at uni today who told me there´s an English library in my city. I hope it´s not just a rumor but I´ll definitely check it out.

Recently checked out: -The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime -Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress
I've already read both and they were great, I added Balzac&tLCS to my list of favorite books. I need to go back to the library this week.

Balzac and the little Chinese seamstress is so great! Have you tried other works of Dai Sijie?
