I read what you posted, Zelda, and then checked out what Amazon.com was saying about this book: It sounds great! I think I'll add it to my list, too.

The latest book on my TBR list is On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan. I read a review of it in Entertainment Weekly, and it sounds very good. Here's the link to the review: www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20041178,00.html

I just read a new york times review of it, it does sound good! Oh good! I need to go pick up my sunday times this morning, so I can get the book review. It's definitely my favorite part of the sunday paper! Now I'm looking forward to reading that review too!

I still need to read it, too. My roommates and I are trying to decide if we want to go hear him speak and I think if we do go, then I need to read it very soon.

Sounds like a great opportunity. I hope my library gets a copy.
I added Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie because I really liked purple hibiscus.

I'm getting very frustrated by my ever-growing TBR list and my inability to keep up. I think I just need a year to do nothing but read and then maybe I'd make a dent in it. Do you think I could do that instead of my third year of law school?

Ditto. The way i see, it's still very much an expansion of the mind, a learning process, just one without exams or grading or any of the stress!!
