Well, since i got sucked into Twilight, I would say that New Moon, Eclipse, and then Breaking Dawn are my biggest TBR contenders.

Since I just started seriously reading (and loving to read and own books, etc) within the past year, my TBR list is so long it's overwhelming! I want to start reading every book on the list. It's like I'm literally a little kid in a candy store with exactly $.10 and I have to choose just 1. How can I do that? There's so much to be read - so much to be learned about - just so much! AAAHHHH! Just having an overwhelming book-thought-day because my list is way over 100.... and I come to this site (Rory's Book Club site as a whole) and you all mention books and I look them up and think - Oh, I must read that! My question to you is (and maybe I should start another thread?) - How do you choose what you're going to read next?

I understand you completely, italianlane! I have the same dilemma. I have a TBR list consisting of over 200 books, and it just keeps growing every time I visit this site. As far as choosing a book to read, I kinda just go with how I'm feeling at the time. I get a feeling in my gut sometimes that will tell me what I'm in the mood for. I don't know if that makes sense, I don't know how else to explain it. If I don't go with my gut, I usually just pull my list out, close my eyes and point at the page, and read whatever I point at, if I haven't read it yet.

it'd be an interesting thread I know what you mean, it's the same for me! I try to undertstand what book I'm in the mood for, but it depends also on the book I read before, if I loved it or it was long/short and sometimes even the setting influences my choice.. Also, my tbr list grows almost constantly and faster than I read ;D

I usually have a general idea of a few books that are priorities on my TBR list. Which one wins depends on how I am feeling when I finish my last book. I always pick a new book right away because I don't like the idea of not reading anything. Sometimes I flip through a couple until one feels right.

I'm not the only one who flips through a few before finding "the one"! PS - I started a new thread on this

After three weeks my summer holiday starts and I have three books what I must read in summer. I'll read Anna Karenina, The Lord of The Rings trilogy and Gone with the wind. I try to read more and spent less time with computer.

I have exactly the same problem.. always when I have to decide between some books. And finally I always make a decision in terms of its size and genre.

I've just added Khaled Hosseini's "The Kite Runner" to my evergrowing TBR list.
(Actually, I don't really have a physical list or anything like that. There'd have to be hundreds of books on it - downright daunting, especially since my progress is so damn slow! So I just made a mental note.)
A co-worker I was chatting to during lunch hour recommended it. She recently read both The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns while she was on work placement at a London library. She gave me good recs in the past, so I trust her judgment.

The Kite Runner is amazing. I still haven the other waiting to be read.
I just added The Color Purple to my list.
