I'm not a big fan of Shakespeare. I didn't enjoy any of the plays I read.

If I had to pick my favorite I'd say Romeo & Juliet. Second place is King Henry part 1.

I've only ever read Romeo & Juliet and Hamlet. I think I enjoyed Hamlet more because it was ironic and the ending was just really funny with everyone dying, or the way it played out at least.

My favorite Shakespeare play is Othello. We just finished that book a few weeks ago in my English class. The movie "O" is a great way to understand the plot.

Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer's Night's Dream, and Twelfth Night(is that the one about the twins?) are my favorites.

Well if we're only counting the plays we've read Id have to say Macbeth. (Just finished reading it yesterday in class) But as for the plays Ive seen, I really really liked Midsummer Night's Dream. The scene where the 2 couples are quarraling (sp) is so hilarious! Loved it!

I have to admit, I'm not a big literary brain. I need all the study guides I can salvage in order to read Shakespeare. That being said, I've taught myself the first act of Hamlet for school in the past two days I'm so proud of myself - I understand it!!! My favourites of Shakespeare are Measure For Measure and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

I love Shakespeare, I also went to this Steven Berkoff show called "Shakespeare's villains", if any of you know it, and it was so great and funny! He was analysing the villains in all of Shakespeare's works in such a brilliant way

Recently took my 9yo daughter to a production of 'Much Ado About Nothing' and we all enjoyed it very much. Was actually looking out for a production of 'Twelfth Night' (as she loves that Amanda Bynes' movie 'She's the Man') or 'Midsummer Nights Dream' (think that is a good 'first Shakespeare' for kids with all the fairies and things) but neither of those on at the time. Apart from that, I have enjoyed watching lots of Shakespeare performances (would much rather watch than read Shakespeare) but probably best production I ahve seen was a professional production (Australian theatre group called Bell Shakespeare) of 'King Lear'. Also really loved the 1995 film of 'Richard III'.
Not a big fan of 'Measure of Measure' though, Jo Bean. I think the experience of studying it at school has put me off it for life!

We studied Othello in high school and I loved it... Other than that I only read Romeo & Juliet, which I really liked. I've been meaning to read more of his plays but I never got around to it...

Not a big fan of 'Measure of Measure' though, Jo Bean. I think the experience of studying it at school has put me off it for life! I loved Measure for Measure!! But I think it may have been because the teacher I had made it really clear and everything... and I also saw the Bell Shakespeare production of it (I reckon they're really good!!!). I'm mostly likely going to see their production of Hamlet this year with our grade when it comes out in the middle of this year. Studying Hamlet makes all this stuff about death seem so depressive...
