But what if I like more than one? Classics, sci-fi/fantasy, poetry, some horror, non-fiction, mystery, and a dash of adventure thrown in. What can I say? I get bored easily.

I guess if you like more than one of the genres, just write that in the message area <here>

haha I like chick lit...over the summer I read The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella (aka Madeleine Wickham) and Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne (which I guess is technically not viewed as chicklit, but I consider it to be). I also read Cocktails for Three by Madeleine Wickham, but it wasn't as good as I thought it was gonna be.

I can't even bear thinking about reading chick lit. I just can't stand the stuff.

I don´t usually wander into the chick lit section but every now and then, mostly after intense studying sessions I want to read something silly and easy that doesn´t require much thinking. Geez that sounds mean Some of them are actually funny.

I agree with you completely. I'll read a chick lit, but only if I can't find anything else.

I don't read much of chick lit, but usually I do read it for a laugh. It's definitely usually something that you don't have to think about because it's simple, so after a few old classics, it's nice to take a break from the old language and stuff. But I've realized something: it seems that the only chick lit authors I've ever heard of are British. Is it just me, or is that true? (Not that that's bad or anything)

I guess I mostly read classic fiction, but I also enjoy a good horror or mystery. Elementary school was all about Encyclopedia Brown, and then later Christopher Pike books, so I've always had a place for those genres.

I can't say I ever really liked them. I didn't get them. I liked Goosebumps though. Which is essential the exact same thing.
