haha sorta...I keep getting more and more books from the library that aren't on my TBR list and it also keeps me from reading my own books that I have and haven't read yet.

I recently purchased from Amazon:
The Thirteenth Tale North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell Howard's End: E.M Forster and The Life of Pi (i know i'm late for the book discussion but i will try my best)
From the Library: A Painted Veil Blonde: by Joyce Carol Oates I am excited about Blonde because it is a fictional book about the life of Marilyn Monroe!!I think it's a new spin on most books so i think this should be interesting

I've never read anything by Joyce Carol Oates, is she a good writer? I've got The Barrens at home, it's been sitting there forever...

I was at the bookstore the other day buying a gift for a good friend birthday (Mrs. Dalloway which I think all women at some point in their lives should read) and I found the most amazing bargain ever. A hardcover copy of Swann's Way by Proust for $10.00 canadian. Thats like $8.00 american, 6.00 pounds (I don't have the pound symbol on my laptop) UK. Euros I have no idea as its been ages since I've been back to Europe (too long). I am so proud of myself. By the way those prices are just really rough estimations .

I bought about 20 and I´my too lazy to list them here but I only spent about 14 euros so I´m good. I got them at the big sale, my library has them about three or four times a year. So I hardly ever buy new books.

Great, dorothy! Library doesn't use to do that here but I've found some 2nd hand bookstores in a near and very big city, and I'm planning a day of shopping there before summer. I'd like to buy some books I've already read and I enjoyed very much but I don't own (1984, On the road and Poe's Tales and Poems)

My library has some kind of booklovers club that organizes these sales. But I know some used book shops, too and they I love the feel of soft and used paperbacks. I hope you´ll find the books you want

That sounds great Dorothy! 20 books for 14 euros, thats so cheap. I bought: The sisterhood of the travelling pants by Ann Brashares The Prince by Machiavelli Little women by Louisa May Alcott The five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom Tess D'Ubervilles - Thomas Hardy But still, march isn't over yet and I am thinking of ordering some more books online today. I'm about to order: So many books so little time by Sara Nelson The wizard of Oz by Frank L. Baum The club-Dumas by Arturo Perez-Reverte The portable Dorothy Parker The wind in the willows by Kenneth Grahame The second summer of the sisterhood by Ann Brashares
