You ever feel like saying goodbye to a good friend when you finish a book? Walking around missing the main character of your book? Or just want to have a chat with him/her? Who is your favourite book character? And why? Me, I'm quite fond of Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye

kdreichert06, I had to giggle when you described Dantes as sexy - I've once read a book by Ken Follet called A Dangerous Fortune (not bad for that kind of literature) and one of the characters, Mickey I think was his name, totally turned me on! Isn't that weird?!

I like Alexis Vronsky from Anna Karenina. He has that debonair quality I like in male leads. And it just occured to me, Vronsky is my version of Mr. Darcy.

Anne of Green Gables! I haven't actually read the books but I'm totally in love with the movie. I love Anne of Green Gables! When I was young I'd pretend to be Anne because we both have red hair, and I tend to be clumsy at times and get myself into sticky situations (but no, I've never dyed my hair green). Without necessarily reading the whole series, I think you should at least read the first book, it's one of the best pieces of children lit ever written!

I also imagine Mr. Darcy to be very sexy, but maybe that's only because I picture Coling Firth He's the only Mr. Darcy There was an poll on "if you could date any man in the entire history of the world, who would it be?". I voted for Mr. Darcy, thinking I'd be the only one silly enough to do so, but lo and behold, thousands of women had voted for him too!

I totally agree with you! I LOVE that book! I think, though, that it would've been hard for Clare because she had to keep waiting for Henry to come back to her, and there were the times when they were finally together that he'd have to leave. I don't know if I would've had enough patience for that. The book kinda confused me at first, but I started to understand it soon enough that I didn't put the book down for a while. You're not crazy unless I'm crazy with you.

Anne of Green Gables! I haven't actually read the books but I'm totally in love with the movie. The books are actually a lot different from some of the movies that are out there.

I love the movie so much, the one with Megan Fellows (is that her name?), that I'm going to have to read some of the books, I think one of my friends has some, I'll have to borrow them.
