I voted for The History of Love, but, looking at the poll results, I think we should discuss all the books that got vote. Since the last book discussed was contemporary, we could start with On the Road and then continue with a classic-contemporary order: - On the road by Jack Kerouac
- The History of Love by Nicole Krauss
- Mary by Vladimir Nabokov
- Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Let me know what you think! I picked On the Road as first just because it's easier to find, so we can start our discussion soon. Looks like each library here owns at least 2 copies of On the Road but none of Mary.

It seems a good compromise and a good "schedule"

I have just bought a copy of On the road. So, I am ready to start . I am still looking for Mary by Nabokov but, indeed, it is not an easy one to find...

Maybe we could begin in July? I don't know for the others but personally, I will be free from finals.

I know it's been a while but...if you're still interested in reading The History of Love we could start planning a bookclub discussion.

In a couple of weeks, I think. Have you got the book? I'll try and get a copy from library today. Then we can make a schedule.

After the 7th November, would be perfect for me (because I have a big assignment to do for the moment and I don't have much time). Moreover, I don't have the book yet.

How about start discussing on November 14th?
I got the book from library yesterday, unfortunately they only have an italian edition. It's about 300 pages, we could discuss it in 2 or 3 parts. Let me know what you think.
