I just finished two books recently: The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky (yes, I realize I'm way behind) and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I really enjoyed both books. I'm excited to watch the movie version of PoBaW to see if it holds up.

I just finished Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. When I was in high school, I had tried reading it but I was unable to finish it. There were too many descriptions which old and uncommon words... It was tedious. But I had to give it another try as it is on my list for my own "Reading Like Rory Gilmore Challenge". This time, I listened to the audiobook and it was much better. I actually liked it!

I recently finished When We Were Orphans by Kazuo Ishiguro (one of my favourite authors). I definitely enjoyed it, but it also definitely isn't my favourite Ishiguro.

This evening, while walking back home from the swimming pool, I finished The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo. I am amazed by my capacity of conveniently forgetting things I had known. Now, I remembered someone telling me that the end of The Hunchback of Notre-Dame was really sad. I don't know how I could have forgotten that! But at the end of the day, it was a great reading (actually listening lol).

I'm currently reading the LOTR books. Yeah, I know, I'm slow with trends, haha. Despite having watched all three movies multiple times, i just now got around to picking it up. He wrote Never Let Me Go, correct? Yes. And The Remains of the Day, which is one of my favourite books I have The Remains of the Day gathering dust in my library, I'm gonna give it a try as soon as I finish LOTR!
