Finished both Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and Tuesdays for Morrie by Mitch Albom in the last couple of days. As I read Tuesdays for Morrie I caught myself wondering if any of my pretty pubils would come hang with me if I was dying. So far, I'm thinking no, since earlier this week I dreamt they all turned into a zombie army to protest the oral presentation I'm forcing them to do...

Just finished A Woman in Berlin by Anonymous. It was a very good read - interesting, well-written (which is not always the case with diaries) and thought-provoking. Recommended!

Finished Little Women today. I liked it, but I kind of knew I would. And although I knew all about the Beth stuff, it still made me cry...

I finished The Deadly Space Between by Patricia Duncker earlier this week. It was well written but too confusing and obscure for me.

Finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I wish I had read the book before seeing the movie, cause I think it kind of destroyed the book a bit for me, I always knew what was coming.

I read Twelve Days of Christmas by Trisha Ashley. I thought reading something light over Christmas was a good idea. Well, it was not! It turned out I really, really don't like chic lit. In the end, I just kept skimming through the novel because the plot was predictable, the characters were flat and the language was not enjoyable.

Just finished Even Silence has an End by Ingrid Betancourt. My, what a woman, and what a story! I laughed and cried and took notes and just generally admired Betancourt for her courage and humanity. Wow.
