Three in a row, wow, getting bored with my own comments, let me read what you read, people! Anyway, had a lot of time at the library today so I finished The Island under the Sea by Isabel Allende. Loved it. My new favorite Allende. (Only read one other, Eva Luna, so don't trust my expertise though )

The last book I finished was Fifty Shades Freed by EL James. I really liked all three of them.

A few days ago I finished Aliénor. Tome 1: Le règne des Lions by Mireille Calmed. It is a historical novel about Eleanor of Aquitaine who married Henry Plantagenet who became King Henry II of England. It was a very good novel. And the author's life (fighting all her life against illness) is fascinating.

A wonderful Sunday morning resulted in my finishing House of Spirits by Isabel Allende. I liked it but I still think The Island Below the Sea is better

Finally finished Portrait of a Lady by Henry James! Finally because it took me months to read, not because it was bad. It wasn't. Beautiful but, if you know James, kind of predictable tragic, just without being able to predict what the tragedy would be... Did that make sense? James continues to be the most beautiful writer I know about

And then I finished my last Allende in a while, My Invented Country, a beautiful memoir about Chile.

Finished Oracle Night by Paul Auster. I liked it but I don't really feel the need to read more by that author.

Finished Oracle Night by Paul Auster. I liked it but I don't really feel the need to read more by that author. Seriously? I read Man in Dark by Paul Auster. I really liked it and felt quite the contrary... I plan to read more by this author in the future.

Just finished The Kitchen Boy by Robert Alexander. I liked it, but I think he left a little too many hooks at the end of the chapters. They were unecessary cause I think the writing in itself was good enough to make one want to keep reading.

Yesterday, I finished Lord John by Jean-Baptiste Baronian. I didn't like it very much. I don't really know where the story was supposed to lead to reader according to the author... :/
