Has anybody read this? If so did you enjoy it? Was it a challenging read?
I'm thinking about getting a copy because I loved both the movie of it with John Malkovich (creepiest actor ever) and the Cruel Intentions adaptation.

I have and I loved it - probably my favorite piece of French literature ever. I thought it was a really easy read but you have to like reading epistolary novels.

I would be able to read it in French if it only used the french words that were the same as english but with an e or a dropped vowel at the end
I hope it translates well to English.

That's like when I'm looking for a word in Spanish, I often end up adding an a or o to the French word, and it often works!
I find that French translates into English better than English into French, not sure why... so you should be able to get a good translation.

lol...I did that in Bolivia with the word embarrased, and after three weeks someone finally told me that the word I used didn't mean embarresed, but pregnant!

I love the movie, I haven't seen the book around. It's a definite must read, well if I can find an english version of it.
